Meet Our Centre Director Kathy Kliakos - Centre Director

Diploma in Early Education & Care, Centre Manager, WHS, Wellbeing & First Aid Officer

Our Epping Centre Director Kathy has undertaken several roles and responsibilities over the past 9 years within the Early Childhood Education sector.

She has supported, educated, and cared for children of different ages and abilities from birth to 6 years of age. Her passion for inspiring young children through education stemmed from raising her own two children who are now 12 and 13, who demonstrate the confidence and resilience to tackle our world and face daily challenges head on.

As a parent, Kathy understands that each family have their own expectations in education and care for each child. She is dedicated to assisting in laying the foundation for lifelong learning.

Her educational beliefs are underpinned by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning which advocates experiences in a natural and child-centred environment, both indoors and outdoors. She embraces each child as a curious, creative and a competent member of our community.

As a leader she has been involved in all aspects of training, mentoring and supporting our educators, to promote confidence, knowledge, skills and abilities across services and have led teams to success through the Assessment and Rating Process.

She is a committed, patient, nurturing educator and carer. She believes that role modelling these traits throughout the centre makes for a safe and secure environment for children to learn and grow in.
Kathy is looking forward to working alongside families and getting to know your children, whilst helping your children succeed in their educational journey and participation within our classrooms.

Annalisa Zoumboulidis - Assistant Director

Diploma in Early Education & Care, Educational Leader, WHS Representative

Annaleise loves working with children and engaging them in tasks and games designed to promote analytical thinking skills and cooperation, and assist them in working with others to resolve conflicts and encourage cooperation.

Young children learn from playing, questioning, and experimenting I love using play and other instructional techniques to help children’s development. For example, I may use storytelling and rhyming games to teach language and vocabulary or improve a child's social skills by having them work together to build something in a sandbox.

I am passionate about making a difference in a fun, safe and educational environment.

I believe that children will achieve their highest potential in a nurturing and caring environment. Through play-based learning experiences. I believe children will learn how to constructively interact with their peers and adults. Children will be given many opportunities through play to confidently explore and construct ideas about the world around them. My personal philosophy also mirrors our centre philosophy, which highlights providing nurturing, inspiring and exciting atmosphere that helps children to discover their world with a sense of curiosity, interest, and wellbeing. I believe the first 5 years in a child’s life is crucial for the development. Children should feel safe, secure, and respected.

It is very important to support children’s self-confidence and self-esteem. Providing a quality curriculum and environment where children are encouraged to learn, create, imagine, discover, problem solve and play is very important, as is including different cultural backgrounds.
